The Genesis of the KV 39 GTC Varanasi-

Kendriya Vidyalaya 39GTC,came into existence in 1981 amidst the benign natural surroundings of 39GTC(Gorkha Training Centre) premises. Away from the chaos of city life, the peaceful surrounding help students to concentrate on studies.Being one of the problems and challenges of teaching and learning process.Presently, the Vidyalaya with the strength of 2017 students appear from class I to class Xl(4section each ) and class XII (5 sections) with the commerce, science and Arts stream is running into triple-storeyed building. More then seventy efficient and talented staff member comprising –teaching and non-teaching are whole heartedly devoted in the multifaceted growth of the children under the able guidance of the very learned Principal Sh. B. Pandey.

Important Milestones of Growth-

In the year 1981,the school started from class I to V. After that school promoted to one class higher year by year. In the year 1987 the first batch of class Xth passed out.In the year 1987,first batch of class XI(Science) started, later on the very next year in 1988 ,Arts stream was started in class XI. In the year 1994, commerce stream also started in class XII.

Details of Previous & new Campus-

From 1981-2000 the school was run in army Barracks. School building construction was started in november 2000. In the year 2002 , School was shifted in new building in 39 GTC campus. In school 10.7 acres of land is being used for Vidyalaya and 4 acres of land for residential purpose.
